Slouchy Chic

Dressing for the season and not for the weather is not a philosophy that can be adapted with ease in Grahamstown. After a few beautiful sunny days, the rain and clouds have returned which has led to this outfit which I can best describe as being “slouchy chic”.
As you can see in the terribly unflattering picture above (taken in my terribly messy room) my tights and jerseys had to make an unexpected early return.
My favourite part of this outfit is the shoes. I bought these pale pink mary janes with a twist from Ackermans a few months ago for R170. I love the zipper detail and the floral lining. The only downside is that they only had a size seven, but I’m actually an eight so wearing them can be quite torturous.
These slippers came to my rescue at the end of the day when my feet were unable to bear pain for the sake of looking good any longer. They are from Jet’s men’s section, but with the slipper trend that is currently gripping the Northern hemisphere I’m sure there will lots more of these around soon (and in actual shoe versions too!).
I also wore this swan ring. I have received many lovely compliments for it so at R30 (from Legit) it was definitely well worth it.
Other items I wore are: grey leopard print jersey R40 on sale from Meltz and black pleated skirt from R60 from Mr Price.
